Youth Workers

The risk management experts at Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company know that youth ministry comes with its own unique set of safety challenges. That’s why we’ve created the free comic book series, The Complicated World of Charlie Valor. The situations experienced by Charlie and his friends are similar to those that all teens face—minus the cosmic hero friends and evil villains lurking at every turn.

Issue 1: Teens and Texting »

Our goal with the first issue, Rise of the Rumorbots, is to give youth workers an opportunity to discuss safe texting practices with teens. View more resources involving teens and texting.

Issue 2: Safe Youth Activities »

In issue 2, Night of the Hog-Jackers, we present an opportunity for youth workers to take a look at safe practices in youth activities. More resources and information to keep your youth activities safe.

Issue 3: Camp and Water Safety »

Issue 3, The Legend of the Deep Lake Monster, focuses on camp activities and water safety in particular. View free downloads and discussion questions.

Issue 4: Online and Social Network Safety »

In issue 4, Dawn of Luna Dooma, Charlie and his friends meet villains in an unexpected location—online.
